Default Keyless entry problem with new deck

I am installing a deck and the keyless entry is no now longer not working. See sig for what car. Is there any way to fix this without trying to hid the stock deck in there?

That is what happens with our style cars with an aftermarket deck. I will search for a link as to what you can get to bypass this.

To retian the keyless entry with an afterkarket radio in a 96-98, you need to leave the factory headunit in the car attached somewhere.

I'll buy that stock head unit off you. I really want my keyless entry back. There are a few threads about how to get around it but they seem to difficult and time consuming (something I don't have) for me.

What big important use do you have for the dead space behind your map pocket/ash tray? Just put the OEM deck back there, buy the extension harness and spend the extra 10 minutes putting it there.

My cousin is a genius. Anyway, the correct answer is <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Ricey McRicerton &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">To retian the keyless entry with an afterkarket radio in a 96-98, you need to leave the factory headunit in the car attached somewhere. </TD></TR></TABLE>
He was pretty sure that was the only way, but I was asking here for a different way.

He connected the positive and negative cords only to the stock deck, you don't need to use another harness. He had some electrical stuff lying around, so he tapped off of the negative and positive wires from the aftermarket harness, and ghetto style attached them to the stock deck (where a harness usually goes). The connection is secure, that is after a bunch of well placed electrical tape, haha.

We put the stock deck where the stock CD player used to be. I still have this if anyone is intereseted. Its too dark to put everything back together, so I'll finish tommorow.

He also wired my V1 into the battery and hid the cord really well.

I didn't know this was a pop quiz. Damn, I really wanted your stock deck too.

I just finished everything, but I have one more problem now. Where can I get a metal grid thingy to put behind the deck to keep it in place? I couldent get the other one out of my old car. Do I have to get it from pioneer?

I'll give you mine. It's for my alpine but it should work in your car. Just pay for shipping and it's yours.

Ill bet your domelight doesnt work correctly either? Yea you have to leave the deck in the car. You can actually slide it down in back there and the factory dash holds it in place.. they make a special wire harness as well.

OR you could always get a damn alarm and hook the keyless up that way. =P
