keyless entry
hey whats up ive searched but dont come up with much interms of this. im going to be getting a 2000 civic ex. it has an aftermarket clifford alarm but not oem keyless fob. i wanted to know if i could still use the clifford alarm, but with the oem fob. i wanted it to arm the alarm when i hit the lock button on the oem pad, and unarm the alarm when when u press the unlock button. the main reason im doing this is the alarm now locks and unlock and all that but i like the oem pad better, and i dont want to use to pads. i know i can just use the cliffod one but the oem one is nicer. if anyone has any ideas or ways to go about this it would be great. thanks in advanced

you might be able to train the OEM remote to work with the alarm. i know you can do it with another universal remote. just a possibility. its in the user manual on how to do it.

what you want to do will not work. you can remove the clifford and replace it with a automate(dei) 415a as it is an add on alarm designed to piggyback off of your oem keyless.

Just mindless typing. Glad you caught it... I was perfect until now.

Re: keyless entry (boraVr)
anybody that sells the dei line can get it( viper, clifford, sidewinder , avital etc, etc).
its just like any other alarm but it triggers off of the door lock motor wires, and has a wire that hooks to the door switch so it only arms and disarms from the remote.
