keyless entry
i bought my civic last year from a used car dealership, and i didn't get any keyless entry thingy for the key chain, so i assumed i didn't have it and i thought most ex models came with it(yes mines and ex) but then i went to have my deck put in and they had charged me like 5 bucks more to install the deck because they said they had to wire in my keyless entry(stock deck) and told me i had it. This was last year and i didn't really care but know getting older i want that lil luxury on my key-chain. is there any way to tell if i have keyless entry and how much do the Honda dealerships charge for the remote and to program? thanks

Re: keyless entry (tuck'd98)
from what i remember all civic ex's came with keyless entry. the stock radio, keyless entry, and the dome light are all connected somehow. to keep the keyless entry when putting in an aftermaket cd player the stock unit still has to be connected. dont know how much dealerships charge though.

Re: keyless entry (vuuspec)
List price on a keyless remote from the dealer is $79.39, you can get it @ http://www.hondapartsdeals.com for $58.57. The part number is 39950-S01-A01. A dealer would probably charge like $20-$30 to program it for ya. Enjoy..
