Default Keeping a motor inside my apt? Good or bad?

I plan on putting a Dseries back into my car and then selling it so that I can have $$$ for a CX, which i'd then put my built ITR swap into.
The problem is that my apt's do not have garages, so i'm going to have to keep my ITR swap in my apt. until I find the CX I want to buy. Does anyone have any suggestions for storing a motor indoors? I plan on draining everything and plugging all the holes like IAS does w/ their swaps.

Wrap it up somehow in a bag or something of that sort, and w/e you do do not pull the oil drain plug.

Or a better idea is to drop it off in a storage and keep it on a stand.

I guess leaving it in a storage is best.

<-- has had a complete gsr swap in his rented room for a good 7 months now.

put some plastic down, and get some boxes.
if you think you're getting your security deposit back either way, wake the hell up.

I did it with my D16z6......I liked having nice warm access in the wintertime to clean and tear it apart. Just put a tarp down.......

If management asks about it just tell them you're an artist and it is a piece that you are working on.

Haha, this reminds me, we're not allowed to do oil changes or car washes on our complex. Well...it doesn't say anything about doing motor swaps. We've done a couple swaps in the complex already.

I did it before, just wrapped it up in saran wrap so it would'nt stink, placed it on a couple of sheets of thick cardboard to protect the carpet.

remove the tranny from the engine, put the engine on a stand and wrap it in saran wrap. stick the tranny in your closet and find a place to roll the stand. Might even want to get a piece of plywood to roll the stand on top off to keep from making 4 permanent spots in the carpet from the wheels on the stand.

Indeed, we aren't allowed to do any sort of oil change in my Condo complex. You can wash the car and work on it, unless there is a chance of fluid being spilled. Pretty gay.

BTW, don't store it in the basement.

just make sure nobody decides to break in and attempt to steal your motor..... keep it away from outside view or keep it covered. other than that it shouldnt be a problem. inside is generally cleaner than outside anyway.

If you want to take the tranny off, you can get a plastic tote from walmart for like $5 that fits a b-series block perfectly. Then just get a different size for the tranny. The sealablelid willkeep the oil/fuel smell out of your place. I kept a b16 in my room of my brand new condo for like a month. No mess, no Smell...
