Default Keeping D series A/C compressor on B series motor

I'll be dropping a B18B into my 96 Honda Civic CX soon. I want to keep my stock D compressor so I don't have to change my lines. I've been reading mixed things about which bracket to use, and which supports what. I'll post what I've heard and if anyone can clear up any confusion/questions please do.

CRV Bracket - 38930-P7J-000

This is the cheaper of the 2 options. I hear this bracket works with the D series compressor, mounts up to the B series block, but will not work with D series power steering. I havn't heard one way or another if it will mount up to the factory D series torque mount.

Del Sol Bracket - 38930-P54-000

This is the more expensive, and harder to find bracket. I hear this will work with the D series compressor, mount up to the B series block, and will work with D series power steering. Again, I haven't heard one way or another if this will mount up to the factory D series torque mount.

Lastly. Which pulley and adjuster bolt do you use on either bracket? How about AC belt?

Can anyone give any insight on this?

Thanks,
Jeremy

i just took my D series compressor off my B20..

I was using the b20 bracket and using 3 bolts to hold it on.. I havent had any issues with it coming loose.

I have the whole thing for sale in the marketplace.

Ok

P7j will allow you to use d ac comp and all the rest of oem civic ac components. Idk personally why you would not be able to use ps as ac comp sits in original location.

P54 is same as above. I have used this personally and currently have installed on my eg hatch.

Another "not known as much" p72 gsr ac bracket. *** ONLY 2 BOLTS WILL LINE UP*** but it will still mount a d compressor. SHOULD BE SAID I DONT LIKE/USE this method.

I rather use all 4 bolts for the compressor and the bracket. Do either the P7J or the P54 mount up to the stock D series Torque mount? I want to do things the right way.

Yes p54 will use stock tq mount, as it was designed for the del sol chassis and uses same mesaurements as standard d bracket

But will the P7J use the stock tq mount or do people just ignore this mount?

Idk if p7j will or not as i always have hasport mounts and never needed tq mounts. Btw you can remove the tq mount arm from the bracket so it dont look getto. Even with stock mounts in good shape the tq mounts are not required

Thanks. Still looking to see if the CRV bracket supports the tq mount on the EK chassis. Also, which pulley and adjuster bolt do you use on either bracket? How about AC Belt?

Any pulley/adjuster for b series (all the same) and not 100% sure on belt but i think d series

No offense but are you really going to let a tq mount stop you from having ac? Buy what ever bracket u want to use/find, then id tq mount does not work find a few diff ones that might IE: em1 or anything else b series that might work

The Right way would to use a B series compressor thus making this thread pointless

If I remember correctly, I know I used the p7j to use my dseries comp on my swap into a del sol, I just cant remember if I even used the lower mount. But 3 bolts do hold the comp on nicely.
