Okay bro, not being an ***, out of all honesty, unless you have an almost unlimited amount of money, it will take you FOREVER to make an even worth it NA D series engine.

Re: (cambopheonix56)
dude,
1) s.charging or t. charging is all forced induction, meaning not N/A.
2) Why don't you want a turbo? Done correctly you can get good mileage, reliability, and lots of go-ness.
3) with a turbo you can get out for $1000 with a tune.
Now Gtfo

intake manifold, valvetrain (more aggressive cams, titanium valves/retainers, better springs), and nitrous. nitrous is your only option for "NA" if you actually want power.

NOS is still a form of FI becuase it is upping your compression, and its FORCING more air and fuel into the engine

Re: (ek forever guy)
I'd get a ZEX 59300 cam for your Z6, and eventually I'd get the supporting valve train and rev the **** out of it.
How fast do you want this NA "monster" to go?

It may not be actual FI but it is still classified as it.

Nitrous is considered FI.

Whoot! 15 second monsters FTW!
expletive that. For a little over a grand I put together a junkyard setup w/ some pretty good parts. Ran a 13.7 with very little tuning. Of course, now I have a purpose built motor & I'm waiting on the money to get a new GT series turbo.
That is one of the biggest advantages of a turbo setup. If you want more power you can buy a bigger turbo. With NA there's only so much you can do. Then you're left kicking your *** saying "Damn it! I wish I had just turbo'd this piece of ****."

If it's a DD then I'd get a small turbo and just run 10-12lbs.
A good bit of extra power & the screaming from the little turbo is awesome sounding.
It makes me hard & the girls wet all at once. The only thing better than that sound is sex.

How much did you pay for yours? How long did it take to install it? Did you do it yourself?
I know the 10-12 is about max for stock components. I don't want to be Mr. Badass, I just want to be a little faster and keep the reliability and gas mileage.

Under 1500. That was turbo, manifold, BOV, injectors, intercooler, PLX-M300, tuning software, & my autozone intercooler piping & couplers.
It took me and a friend a weekend to do, and we ran into a lot of problems because we fabricated EVERYTHING, and the flange on the turbo & manifold were different, so we had to have a guy weld a flange onto the turbo, ect. We were also noobs when it came to everything car related. So it took 2 car-tards 2 days to get the car running.
As far as 10-12 being the max, it'll depend on the turbo. I was running 15psi daily & the only reason I had to put in a new motor is because the car was overheating & I couldn't find out where the water was going.

Oh yeah, where did you buy your kit from? If you bought another one who would you buy it from?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I just researched what parts I needed and slowly picked them up one by one.
I got the turbo from one member, the manifold from another, injectors & BOV from another, intercooler from JohnnyRaceCar.com.
I'll never buy a pre-made kit, but for high horsepower people like the Full-Race kits (way too rich for my blood). Others that are just starting out reccomend the GReddy kit. It's a good kit for a DD, but it's fairly expensive for the "low" amount of HP you can make with it. I think a Greddy kit would give you exactly what you're looking for. That extra power without tons of lag or reliability issues.
My next "kit" will be a GT30 w/ a ramhorn manifold & precision FMIC. Easy $2500+ spent.
Looking to make 350whp on my SOHC.
If you're looking for reliability & a little bit of quickness I'd look into a used Greddy kit. You don't have to pay the brand-new price, but you get exactly what you're looking for.
I will say I have had 2nd thoughts about going bigger & regret the money I've spent, but I just hop into the car, go down the street, and then I realize how much life would suck without the snail.
