Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
Based on your Ohm readings, your battery should be completely dead. If not, there's a problem with your Ohm readings. Can you post a link to the user's manual for your multimeter?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
The problem is i don't know the brand of multi meter I have. I cant find a brand name on it anywhere. My dad uses it for work though when doing low voltage. I will search around and try to find out if I can find what kind of multi meter it is

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
When the multimeter is set to read Ohms, can you find a menu to scroll through to check the settings?
There's another dial setting below resistance (horseshoe) that may be for continuity tests (sound symbol). Turn the meter to that setting and touch the probes together. Does the meter make a sound?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
1) two fuse 41 screws
2) one fuse 41 screw and the disconnected battery ground connector
3) other fuse 41 screw and the disconnected battery ground connector
Does the meter beep with any of these three tests?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
Redo some of the tests using this continuity setting. With the battery and alternator white wire disconnected, touch the meter probes to the:
1) two fuse 41 screws
2) one fuse 41 screw and the disconnected battery ground connector
3) other fuse 41 screw and the disconnected battery ground connector
Does the meter beep with any of these three tests?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
Ok so First I verified that touching the two probes together that it made the beeping noise, then reconnected the white alternator wire to the fuse box, when i touched the left screw on fuse 41, and the disconnected ground cable it beeped, when i touched the right screw and disconnected ground cable i got nothing.

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
Bingo!!!
The short is coming from the alternator or its circuit.
Now disconnect the large white wire directly from the alternator. It's usually covered by a rubber boot and secured by a nut. When it is disconnected, redo the "beep" test with the left screw and disconnected battery ground connector. Is the beep no longer heard?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
Sorry i kind of retarded out and realized that when i performed the last text i forgot to completely pull the white wire and eyelet off the alternator, just took the nut off of it, when i removed the wire from the alternator and touched the left screw on fuse 41 and the ground cable there was no beep.

Do you have a good 80A fuse to install into the fuse 41 slot?

Re: Keep Blowing Battery Fuses. PLEASE HELP!
yes, it was disconnected the second time i performed it, did it once with the white wire attached to the fuse box and not the alternator and the second time with the alternator wire disconnected from both the alternator and fuse box, both times it yielded no beep.
And no I don't have any spare 80A laying around, where can i get replacements?
