Kamikaze Header Questions?
Looking to JRSC the D16Y8 soon so I figured I'd get the Kami headers quick.
I have an EJ8 (97 Civic Coupe EX) and have been hearing that with the Kami's you have to lose the stock cat? Would that be true for my car? I don't mind losing the cat I just need to know what I can use to connect the headers to the B-pipe.
Also... reputable place to purchase them? Can't find one for a decent price for the life of me.
Info is greatly appreciated.

Im not familiar with those headers, but if you need to delete your cat you can get a test pipe to connect them. Just make sure to save your stock setup come inspection time.

Yeah, I'm aware of keeping the stock to pass emissions, PA is fairly easy to pass anyway.
Anyone else, or should I just get Megan Racing ones and be done with it.

Lol... there is no header on a turbo application. You're thinking Supercharged applications... which... is what I'm doing by the way.

Your not thinking of a DX or CX model are you? I think those have the cat built into the header (at least that's how it is for the 92-95 models.)

Re: (Everyones Hero)
I may be, which is why I'm asking the question.
But I got my question answered elsewhere, I just have another question.
What can I replace my cat with. The collector on the Kami is 2.5" and the pipe diameter on my WS2 is ~2.35". How the hell do I battle that? 2.5" test pipe?
(emissions aren't an issue)

Re: (SovXietday)
Get a highflow cat and have a 2 bolt 2 1/2" flange welded onto one side and a 3 bolt welded onto the other.
I'm sure magnaflow or the like make a 2.5" cat w/ the flanges already welded on.
