If you could get a K swap for 3k and dont have the B18C the K swap would be cheaper.
If you already have the B18 then boost the **** out of it. I am

I would take an all motor K-series over a boosted B-series any day, but that's because I'm a complete whoreslut for all motor power. You'll get more peak power and higher traps out of a boosted B18B (after tuning and ****, of course), but the daily driver in you will be more happy with the response and immediate torque of the K-swap.
Both have advantages...your pocketbook is really the deciding factor.

High compression has nothing to do with an engine's ability to hold boost. It's all in the tuning. And the JDM Type-R would be the "B18C". B18 is a general term for the DOHC 1.8L engines in the Honda family.
