Haha now its going to be a K vs B battle? Why not J vs K? Or A vs K? Or why not an AK
Either way, if you have money go with the K20, if you dont have money go with the K20
Or
If you have money go with the B18, if you dont have money go with the B18

you guys are funny, he said he has a "2001" civic
let me know the last time you saw a B18C in a 2001 civic
your best bet would be a K series motor, itll probably be more cost effective

learn to weld. the k series motor swaps are becoming more of a common place. That is not to say that the B series is or can't be done. Both are going to require a mount kit or making mounts, wiring conversion or conversion harness, and and some axle work. All of which can be done by someone who knows what they are doing relatively easily. Both cost a pretty penny the B18C can range from 3000-4000 dollars just for the swap. The K20 can go for 4500-5000 for the swap. Anyways the installer will charge you a pretty penny either of these two swaps due to the amount of fabrication involved. This is by no means a beginers project, and money is the only thing that will make it go smoothly. Good luck and go fast young grasshopper. HiGhO|{TaNe

there are a few people that have done b series into 2001 civics.
Personnally I would decide what your goals are first, dropping 5-8K into a civic without a reason other than I want to have a twin cam seems foolish
me I would sell the civic and start with a used type s RSX
