K20 swap old model??
Ok, I have maybe a Stupid question I have seen it done in a 94 dx hatch . They had the k20 swap. It was a car for sale on Ebay . How hard would it be and is it a direct bolt in with the right mounts ? does any one know ? i realized the MAJOR problem is that the motor sits 180deg backwords (tranny on drivers side intake on front side ) as to where i have a 1996 dx hatch thats a automatic. conversion is'nt a problem as in me and my buddie did the 5speed gsr b18 swap into his 93 dx automatic last weekend and he is driveing it as we speak so please dont rip on the auto to 5 speed swap and thank you for your info and input.

Re: (thebagclip)
ekk1 mounts needs a dc/eg subframe swap/
i belive the k2 fixed this issue, but im doing the EJ1 swap.
my car was orignally auto too., you need to swap to manual as if a GSR swap but when you cut and remove the auto side brakcet you DO NOT weld the manual one in, rather a bracket that sites about 3 inches farther towards the radiator, to hold the timing chain cover mount
9 the mount that you stick the bolts through the timing chain cover you know waht mean.
if you want the k24 i belive you need the crv mount ( ineeded it)
axels...... hmmmm i forget waht the ek guys are using but theEG guys have the base RSX axels stock, they are 32mm and splined like the older civics
rsx-s is 36mm? and i belive those fit IF you swap out the hubs for ITR units
more **** of corse, run a k20a ecu if you have a k20a. k24's wont like it and you will run LEAN and vtc will be off horribly which is one of the reasons you're swapping right? vtc? not vtec........... VTC
radiator neeeds tobe swapped over ( easiest thing ever)
90-97 accord shifter box modified with modifed shifter CABLES or a modified rsx-s shifter box with a $150 karcepts mount
also if you plan on buidling the K, the torque procedures are more like the LT1 chevys like
torque to 35 FTlbs, then torque 56*. (something most people fail to mention lol)
i was like WTF!
< b, d series guy before the K
ya but OEM parts are crazy swapable man, tsx rods, rdx crank, etc.
rbc manifold blah blah blah s2000 oil pump, rsx-s oli pump or oil cooler etc
70MM BDL t/b ftw?
