?? the motor itself prolly around anywhere from 5-6 maybe even 7k......i've heard......and the swap...iono totall prolly ur lookin at 7-8.....i dont think it will run you 12k to get the motor and swap it in. but dont really quote me on that, i just think the 12k price is a TAAAAAAAAAD bit to high

My '96 hatch: http://www.snailcard.com/knoj/knoj_hb1.jpg has a B20B swap. If you plan to turbo, get a B20B out of a '97, or '98. If not, then you want a B20Z out of a '99, '00 CR-V.

The engines are great, but expect to pay more if your distributor breaks. Local parts store (Napa Auto Parts) wanted $300 for a re-manufactured one.

Keep in mind that they do not have a VTEC head, but you can put one on. If you do, you can not advance your intake cam, or you will damage your pistons and valves.

The B20Z has a higher compression, and is good for an all motor setup
The B20B has lower compression and is good for turbo, or NOS.

EDIT: I paid $5,500 for mine, that's for the whole vehicle with the swap already done.

EDIT AGAIN: Just realized your talking about the K20, and not the B20... I'll leave now...

Hmotorsonline.com sells the motor for 5500 plus shipping (they are a respectable company and many people have bought their swaps from them) they make "kits for this swap" but I am not sure how much it is, but I would say this swap is probably in the neighborhood of 9k installed by someone else. Probably about 7k or so if you do it yourself. More and more people are doing this setup, there was one in sport compact car a few months back(like 6months or so) that had a turbo K series swap in an Ek with 455hp...which is pretty impressive.

EDIT: here is a link to some pics, I found this tonight....here ya go

I have a K20A3 for sale. (EP3 IVTEC motor). Not as much power, but still a 2.0 K20 VTEC motor. Selling for about 2K. Let me know if that interests you.

Love the pics on that other thread. That CRX is crazy and that Teg is gorgeous!

If you can find a wrecked RSX-S and buy the motor out of that, you'll probably save a good bit of cash there.

K20 in an EK would be sweet. I'd seriously look into it if I had the money/time resources to do so.
