it is a good swap.if money is not an issue to you. then do it. it would probably cost around $10000 with the comeplete swap and parts and labor.

id say go-go if you think you can do the swap...and you have the money to put into a k series...then go for it. will be a nice car and pretty f-in fast. good luck.

Your 19 and you have money for a K20 swap? Did you loot a Brinks truck?

If I had the money I would do it.

right away? lol still won't be done in a week I bet.

I'd go with JDM if you're going to keep it relatively stock. LSD trans and ITR cams.

You can do a K24a2. That's my next swap. You'll get more torque and hp out of it. Its got real vtec, not that diet crap that's on the k24a1 or k20a3.
k20a2 is ok. My bro has a RSX-S and it's ok. Not fast by any means.

Damn, you make a K24A2 sound like it'll pull like a V8. It's rated as having the same HP as a K20A2 BTW.

Yup, but a lot more torque, but a lower redline. There are pro's and con's to each.

wow please tell me were you are getting your parts cuz 10k for a k20 swap is ...

if you shop right and get all your parts, you can get a clean k20 swap like 5k, maybe less.

my boy just sold his k20a2 swap for 2900.

k20z1 FTW though, its a WAY better swap overall, better Intake mani, more aggressive cams, and the tranny has a higher final gear which helps alot.

k20a2 i/rh/e/k-pro/75 shot < k20z1 i/rh/e/k-pro...thats all i have to say

k20 in an ek hatch will be very quick because of the power to weight ratio. go go go!

when he said 10k, its not the swap itself that costs that much.

Theres a bunch of other little **** that you can't buy cheap or ghetto rig. Like axles, mounts, header, K-Pro, etc

For the same price as a stock K series, you could swap a built GSR with enough money left over for a pretty nice turbo setup. I'd rather have more power than something unique.....

I would say to go ahead with the swap
I love a k20 swap instead of a turbo B series

but first you have to make up your mind.

do you have a 92-95 hatch or 96+ hatch

i know where you can get a full k20z1 (i guess thats it....out of the 06 civic si) for $1800. it has forged arias pistons, literally brand new block, everything has been balanced, it has the factory 6 speed w/ lsd tranny, ecu, and wiring harness. its a full motor swap, it just needs to be put together. i was gonna get it but for hasport mounts for an eg i just decided to keep it simple. its still a really good deal tho.
