k20 del sol info...
hey.
i realize there is a k20 sol thread a few posts down, but his was very broad.
i know del sol's have the same chassis as the eg civics, im very familiar with them.
i have 2 specific questions though.
1: because this has been asked 20000 times,i know there has to be a "k20 swap into eg how-to" thread. where is it?
2: because the del sol vtec has a very unique shift linkage that is not found in any other hondas, will i need to fab some cables, or will it be a straight bolt up?

because it's cable, it really doesn't matter what chassis its in as long as the cables reach. you'll need to cut a hole where the shifter is now, bolt the shifter base to the bottom and run the shift cables over the crossmember to the tranny.

awesome. makes sense.
so along with a full swap.... i need mounts, axles, shiftbox, wiring harness, header, and fuel lines.

you have to cut off the existing bracket that holds the stock mount, and the mount kit you get will replace the bracket. The only K into eg i've seen in person (the one from that thread) used hasport's kit. The passenger's side mount bolts right to the frame rail. supposedly one of the hardest parts of the swap.
