Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my old air filter with a K&N. I'm from the UK, driving a UK Civic 1.5 LSi (all Civics are JP ofc).

It's an EG4 with a D15B2 engine, the car is stock - barring an aftermarket stereo... https://honda-tech.com/audio-securit.../#post50199642

I've emailed K&N in the UK, and they haven't the foggiest - they're asking for OEM numbers and dimensions to be sure.

I strongly suspect it's the 33-2105

33-2104 - K&N Replacement Filters, Replacement Air Filter direct from K&N

but I know there were five variants for the 5th Gen Civics, so I'd like to be certain.

If anyone has done it to their car and could confirm, it would be most appreciated!

Use a stock filter, K&N is known for their lack of filtration.

I read around about K&N and its filtration properties and how they (perhaps) don't perform their filtration duties. Stock here we go!

K&n are no good; flows yes, but allows too much dirt through too.

You may also want to research AEM Dry Flow filters. They seems to be pretty effective for dust removal while still providing less restrictive air flow.

The ISO 5001 test results showed 98.6% filtering efficiency while having close to a 50% increase in flow.

I suspect it's a much better filter than the K&N ones. I have had no issues with mine and I've had it for a few years now.
