Default Just thought I would share.

I have a 98 Ex coupe. The bottom end of the D16y8 blew out, and the transmission grinded in third.

Soon to be set-up
D15B7
D16Y8 oil pump with pan
D16Y8 Head
Edelbrock Preformer X intake man.
Edelbrock turbo kit for D16Y8

I am going to use the D15 transmission for a while until I feel gutsy enough to try to build my own tranny. I want some mix of Ex and Dx gears.

I was also thinking about getting the VAFC2 to make Vtec kick in at lower RPMs, as well as some new valve srings pluse retainers with a block guard. I really want to run it with the compression a little on the high end for a while. Ill post pics when I work on it again since I am still waiting for my oil pan to show up.

Let me know what you think.

Didn't read the whole thing, but just from reading about vtec kicking in at a lower setting than normal, it's not good.

Well I wouldn't keep it that way for daily driving. I want it to hit around 35k or so on the strip, in hopes that it would get me a lower time.
