Well if you're using the GSR ecu, you'd be throwing codes. So are you running a GSR ECU?

Motor is pretty much stock except AEM intake and exhaust.
wheels are 16 inch rims with pretty brand new toyo's.
timeslip info???

trying to run a gsr, it's missing a knock sensor, vtec solenoid, evap purge...etc the fuel curve is different, the ignition is different. get an LS ecu. p74/75

You have a vtec ecu in a non-vtec car. What the **** do you think its doing? Adding VTEC?

you said you ran 16's, so i'm talking about the timeslip from the track.
how much PSI were you running in your tires? too much PSI probably caused your wheel hop. lower it down to around 22PSI.

Why are you running a GSR ECU anyways? Because you have a GSR tranny? Or because you thought it would make your B18B faster?

did you actually go to the track??? but yea running a gsr ecu isnt going to help your ls motor... you will probably want to find a ls ecu and then you should be running quicker times... not all that noticeable but a little better
edit: you are assuming that you have a gsr tranny?? you swapped your motor and you dont know what tranny you have??

Re: Just swapped b18 b into EG6 and ran 16's. (RrP)
I have a similiar problem like that too. i have a 94 b18b with a 95 gsr ecu. every ls ecu i try runs shitty and doesn't have steady idle, something it even dies out just stoping at a light or stop sign. threw in the gsr ecu and it ran alot better and stronger the then the ls ecu. Haven't ran at the track yet. No clue what the deal is? sorry didn't mean to jack your thread..

WTF??
If he used a GSR ECU on b18b, wouldnt it only tach out at 5k rpms cause of no knock sensor??
Cause thats what mine did, but its OBDII
side note:
no I didnt think a GSR ecu would give me vtec, I fucked up my dx ecu by breaking one of the pins

If you want to run lower times, get and lsd gearbox out of an lsd eg6 or lsd dc2 or any b-series gearbox is compatible with it so go hard and get em both spinning!! I also think maybe you need to do a few more runs with the car as it is... You might find that your drag driving improves
