just a couple questions:

whats the point of v-tech if it kicks in after redline?

if v-tech kicked in after your redline would you blow your motor just to hit v-tech?

if v-tech kicks in at 4500 RPM what is your 1/4 mile time?

VTEC doesn't kick in after redline, mine engages at 5500 rpms, and i redline at 8200.

VTEC basically gives you the advantages of a bigger cam lobe when it engages in the top end, and a good idle and fuel efficency in the bottom rpm range.

Do a search, and go to http://www.howthingswork.com and type in "VTEC" and you'll find EVERYTHING you need to know.

first its spelled V-TEC

and it usually kicks in about 3k before redline

it never kicks in after redline that would be pointless

and if V-TECH kicked in at 4500 youd run a 7.8 sec 1/4 mile

Actually I don't think there are any quotation marks around it! VTEC And c'mon a 7.8 you and I both know that if the "V-TECH" kicks in at 4500 he will only run an 8.20 at 168 MPH!

my "vtech" phone has 2.4 ghz....
