it just quit
i was coming home today from work doing 50 mph in 5th and the tach fell to 0 and my mph went down and i had no power so i downshifted and it started agian and the tach went up as did the mph but when it quit working nothing worked any ideas? what can i do i have a full tank of gas so thats not it. my battery is crappy but i dont think that would have anything to do with it.

sounds like you have a bad relay which could be the reason for the bad battery. when you down shifted you pretty much just got it started the same way you would by push starting it...
go to autozone and check the battery, if its not that, check your relays...

yeah, my car (read: boat mobile) was doing that the other day, i replaced the shitty ground cable that was older than moses and now it runs a HELLUVA lot better. starts right up everytime too. before the started would kinda chug as first like the battery was low, and it idled poorly because the coil wasnt firing enough, as a result it would die coming off idle sometimes. now it doesnt do any of this, and it fixed a high rpm skip too .

my friends saturn did that, when we took the batter connection off, the battery terminal fell off too i would check batt and alternator and dizzy as well

i had something similar happen on my 95 teg, i was going down the highway and it did the same thing, i went to the acura dealership where i knew one of the techs and he said to change my cap and rotor and have the coil and ignitor checked.
I changed the c and r and everything check ok, ran like a champ after that. Just my .02, hope it helps
