Just purchased my 1st civic
Hey, i purchased this civic from an elderly lady about 6 months ago for my DD, and it was just a completely stock 97 hx. Between then and now, i started adding little stuff here and there and just couldn't stop. Anyways, just wanted to share pics of the progress. I don't have any before pics but it looked like any other stock hx out there. Here are the pics.
ASR brace w/ ctr 22mm swaybar
Heres a passenger side view
-pass
After i installed the OEM sir lip. (took me forever to find)
My HID's properly secured
The whale ***** and CTR strut bar
After installing GSR f/r disc brakes
Driver side view
not the best pics, but you get the idea.
Impression: Overall, i really like this civic. For a DD, i can't complain about 36 mpg. Its different from driving an R but its a nice difference. After installing the asr brace and 22mm swaybar, i felt a world of a difference. That was my first mod done to the car and i suggest this combo for every civic. Also, didn't really like stock braking power so i opted for the full gsr brake conversion, and wow..the brace and these brakes go hand in hand. Good handling and great braking power is essential. Anyways, Thanks for looking

wow..thats preety good. I don't know how many mph i get on highway, but driving on the street w/ stop and go traffic, my hx yields about 36mpg.

maybe a subtle drop will compliment it just fine.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I have it lowered on Ground control and koni yellows. Just haven't adjusted it yet. I need to do put the "DIY" rear camber kit on then ill adjust. thanks for the comments

I've gotten about the same on a '98 EX coupe. I think it might have been a little higher, but don't have the paperwork anymore.
If anyone wants to keep track of gas mileage, sign up to gassavers.org. They have a place to keep track of your gaslog on there. It also compares to what your stock car/engine should be getting as combined city and highway, so you can see how good you're doing.

Thanks, after owning a few integras, you tend not to make the same mistakes, you learn to do things right the first time around and save yourself a bunch of money. Let me know when you get another CTR rear strut bar, i missed the last one you had.
As far as mods, i try not to do too much to the d-segment motors because it something i wouldn't invest much of my money in. (personal opinion). Im pretty sure it has a lot of potential, but im not willing to shell out the money to see it. Rather just wait and save then drop a B-series in it. Plus, its my daily driver. But i really, REALLY like the way it handles though, it responds a lot better to the 22mm sway bar than any other car i've tested it in. I personally feel that i would get more out of the money i put into it when its going towards any suspension upgrade. The next thing i plan on doing to the car is equipping her with some better rubbers.

Loving your civic. Nice, simple, clear. More importantly it is done right with tweaks that do the job right the first time.
