just installed header wrap. now headers smoke
i just installed the header heat wrap, and this is the first time i start my car. there is a burning smell, and smoke coming from the headers, is this normal, will it go away

Yes its normal. It will stink for a few days speciall when you go WOT.
What sucks is when you check the oil and a drop falls into the wrap... that takes a while before the stink goes away.

Just make sure you keep moisture away from the header wrap as much as you can. The only downside to it is that it can trap moisture on your pipes and cause them to rust and develop weak areas.
The wrap will stop smoking/smelling when all the moisture burns out of it.
