Default just installed 2000 b16 in my 96 dx civic 'important'?

after installation, the instrument cluster, reverse lights, and radiator fan fail to work. will an si interior dash harness, located behind the dashboard solve my problems? i have one available, but i want to know if its worth my time?

are u using the 2000 b16 ecu also? the 2000 ecu is obd2b, and your car is ob2a. you can probably get away with re-pinning ur ecu wires

What ECU are you running?? Have you checked all of your fuses yet?

the wires that go into your stock DX ecu are in a different order from the ones that usually go into the SI ecu. you need to reaarange a number of the wires to make everything work correctly.

That's your problem right there. Without MAJOR wiring (I'm not sure if adding an SI interior harness will fix this), the Si harness isn't going to work properly.

You need to modify a 96-98 harness in order for it to work.

You need to run the wires for the vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch and knock sensor to the ecu. Extend wires that don't reach...

Actually, read this:

like i dont get why it all doesnt work with the 2000 harness and ecu...runs but the cluster doesnt work at all and no backup lights and no radiator fan. Does any one know just how to make the cluster work so we can call this a day. Obd2 swaps are weird.

Dude, I'm telling you what you need to do. You need to use a 96-98 wiring harness. Trust me, I've been in your situation, only the complete opposite.

Listen to what I'm saying unless you want to spend hours and hours rewiring a harness to work with that ecu.

Exactly, you're gonna need to get another ecu.. unless you buy a conversion harness.

In that case, you might as well go obd 1.
