on my way home from school i was crusing around 2.5k rpms going somewhere around 45mph. I hear a loud *** pop like a big stone hitting my car. The car drove like normal the rest of the way home. When i got home i did a visual inspection. Everything looks like it did the day b4. Looked at my car and found no new dents from stuff thrown at my car from senis on the freeway. The only thing that i did recently was an oil change last night. And i put new gaskets on my header. Would any of that contribute to the pop or could it be something that was kicked up by the car in front of me and hit with no mark that i saw. Anything internal in the engine it could be????

im lost because i found no visual defects from a stone or anything so it may be something mechanical that i dont know about please give your input. thanks

yeah.....nothing changed thats why im confused. maybe a backfire??
