Default just got a tickete for..

as i drive out my drive way i always check my lights on the walls beside me..
so i do it right now and everything seems good.
except that my fogs and cluster lights only turn on when i arm/disarm my alarm...

im driving and i get pulled over and said my tail lights were out..
i was like NO, i just checked them. i said can i have a look

then he explains that they turn on only when i tap the brakes .. he said ima get a tickete and i was like you dont have to do that i learned my lesson im not going to leave them like that ill get it fixed asap.. but he said no your getting the tickete..

so yea im gona check fuses tomorrow and idk what else .. anyone else know what i should check?????

*fogs turn on with alarm only..
*brake lights turn on with alarm only..
seems like a relay problem or maybe even my lever for parking lights..

my head lights turn on after two clicks but first click doesnt turn on city lights..

any tips are welcome ima work on it tomorrow

check the light bulbs, some light bulb have a double light thing inside it, one turns on withe the light and when u brake the other with light up all in one light bulb, if not, there's a little switch by the brake pedel, when u step on the brakes it pushes on the switch which activates the brake lights.

the filaments should work cuz they turn on with the alarm button and they do turn on when i brake. but maybe the alarm uses the filament that does work so yea ill check.. but wtf why did they brake at the same time and and my corner lights dont turn on either.. only with the alarm

my case was the corner lights didnt turn on, and tail lights & licencse plate lights. Although my hazards, and brakelights worked and the corners flashed when alarm was activated and disactivated. Turned out to be my combination switch ( the black handle on your steering colum to turn your lights on and off) went bad. diagnosed with a DMM.

I used a digital multi meter to isolate the problem. and the problem is the comination switch cost me like 20 bucks at the junkyard.

Easy fix use a philips screw driver to take the screws off the plastics around your steering column, then there is 2 small copper/goldish color screws remove them, slide the combination switch left ( towards the door) unclip the 2 clips lol and vise versa to put back.
