Hey guys i just got a new bumper for my del sol because my old one was kinda messed up but i had a question it says on it that i have to use a special primer for it cause it is plastic is this true? Anyway here are some pics.


BTW when i got it the guy that i bought it from had the nicest car it was a 1995 civic CRX VTI thats right japans version of the del sol it had RHD, the transtop and everything i wish i had my cammera at the time but he showed me how the transtop worked and stuff it is so much better than the ones that you can get in the states

So do you guys know if i need a special primer for the bumper cause it is plastic

Yes, u need the flexi primer.
Its just a flexible primer so the paint wont crack when u bend it.

first thing u want to do is wash the bumber in really hot soapy water... water so hot that u need to wear gloves.... uhmm........ i know u need to clean it with dx330, a tack rag, then..spray this **** on it... like its a sticky stuff... and any primer should be ok.... .. i'm taking auto body class.. and thats what the teacher told me to do when i was painting new plastic bumbers. looks like there is primer on there areay... or is it gray..

Yeah it does have primer on it but it says that i need to put another coat on it and it is suposed to be a paint for plastic bumpers so i guess i will get that flexi primer do i need special paint to or just primer.
