v4lu3s 09-16-2004 03:39 AM

Re: (v4lu3s)

that is what they sell at Auto Zone.......I know, I used to work there....they sell Monroe and Gabriel.......both are junk

those will have shit for control with higher rate springs and you will be agreeing with us after about two weeks of having a horrible ride.

oh, did I mention that you got ripped off.....if I am not mistaken, those retail for like 21 bux a piece

You'll have to forgive the people here for being harsh.

Some people don't realise that in other countries you might not be able to get our more recognized brands such as KYB, Koni, or Tokico (which sucks anyways IMO) so of course they'll rip on monroe stuff. also those brands might be unheard of in Israel anyways, so again i'll apologize for the others for being rude.

I'd guess that the Monroe's are more like stock than anything, so you need to look into soft rate lowering springs such as the Eibach Pro Kit and Tein S-Tech. I personally run Tein S-Techs which I got for like $130.00 US dollars shipped to my door, and they are awesome springs for the money.

Do NOT run coil-overs. They are usually stiff spring rates, which will ride like crap and ruin those new Monroes.

Good luck.

Take it easy on people. This guy came here looking for HELP, not criticism, so cut him some slack. At least he's not asking stupid questions.

For keeping it at stock height and not trying to have any sort of stiffer spring rates other than stock.

AHHHH CRAP, I apologise mang.....didn't realize that you were from out of country.

I would follow suit with what Tom said.....get the S-Techs and you will be fine because they are a bit of a softer rate and will not ruin your absorbers https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
