Just got home from High School Drags
I just got home from the high school drags. I was one win away from getting a trophy. I think i did pretty well for the set up i have but please let me know how i can improve.
This was my best of about 5 runs. I couldn't break 15's. Maybe i should have unhooked my exhaust. My set up is a LS motor in a 92 CX. Ghetto intake and header. 2 1/4 exhaust with no cat. thats all tell me whatcha think
R/T -.036
60' -2.338
330 - 6.403
1/8 - 9.725
mph - 73.66
1000 - 12.609
1/4 - 15.021
mph- 92.12

what do you think i need to improve most? my 60 foot? It was hard o not burn up the tires. some of my other runs my 60 foot was like 2.4's. so like a 2.3 was my best

You can always work on your 60's. The technique of launching with little tire spin and best grip wont come along overnight. These are great times for a novice...good job!
What tires do you have and what pressures were you running?

i got eliminated in the first round. i don't get how the other guy won, because he dialed in 15.1 and ran a 15.4 while i dialed in 14.9 and ran a 15.0. i thought it was whoever got closest to their break out time without going over?

Re: Just got home from High School Drags (AzntaggeR)
when i got eliminated i thought they messed up too. so i went and asked a track worker. You subtract your actual time from your ET then add your R/T. SO you lost because you must have had a shitty reaction time.

Re: Just got home from High School Drags (CivicHatchback14)
well, i graduated from foss last year but i got my friend to make me a foss id so i can run.
i have a B18C1 in there and as for the mods you can see them in my H-T garage in my sig. i'm starting to dislike going to the track and only getting like 3 runs in. what waste of $25.

i'm like addicted to going now. i've gone 3 times within a weeks span. i think i'm going to give it a rest for several weeks, because i'm getting low on funds and my poor car needs to take a break.
