what are you trying to do would be the first thing to ask? and whats your budget? swap a better motor in? or stay stock. stock try local wreckers, swap try hmotorsonline.com, hear great things about them

with CX motor you are going to complain like crazy, get at least d16z6.

d16z6 is short money. Would be very entertaining in a light EG. A low mileage DX motor is even cheaper. Funny enough, it would still be entertaining and cheap on gas.

CX motor is miserable in terms of fun factor, but with recent gas prices, I'm not complaining about 40 mpg. My 99 Si continues to sit for now.

d16z6 driven right doesn't waste alot of gas. CX is horrible, and DX is not really fun neither. Z6 will give you a good milage but it can be quite fun up there.
