Just got 5 lug conv, master cylinder, & booster installed. Braking issues?
I just got a 5 lug conversion along with a USDM ITR master cylinder & booster installed over the weekend. When everything was done, the brakes worked fine. After I drove the car for around 15 miles, I noticed that the brakes became tighter and tighter. Eventually, the brakes became completely locked up even when I'm not using the brakes, forcing me to pull over to the side. I had to call AAA and get a tow truck to tow it back to the shop. (Fortunately, the shop paid for the towing expenses.) The mechanic told me that the brakes need to brake in, so he adjusted the brakes to a very spongy setting. I am no longer having problems with the brakes locking up when I'm not pressing the brakes, but the brakes are still spongy. If I go back to the mechanic and tell him to adjust the brakes to the normal stiffness, would I be in risk of the brakes locking up on me again? If I continue to drive with spongy brakes, would it eventually brake in and get back to normal or will it continue to be spongy? Thanks!

I am not sure, but maybe you should bleed them again. That happened to my clutch, and I bled it again. Problem went away.
