Just drained Oil and it didnt fully drain?

Just drained Oil and it didnt fully drain?
Hey i just drained my oil out i had an oil leek so after i did this i took off the valve cover and 1 part didnt drain and i dont know why? :\ can anyone help meh..

Did you have your motor reach operating temperature before shutting down for the oil change?? and ..
Is your car on even surface??

The motor isn't going to completely drain of oil! If that was the case, everyime you would start your engine, you would be starting it with no oil right away! all the oil would be in the pan! There is always going to be oil in the oil pump and in the head ect... If you want to get out as much as possible, Manually turn the crank pully four or so complete turns and then wait a few more minutes! That should push some more oil downwards!
