just did an oil change and #$%^&*&
so, im boosted.
i got a d16y8 with a drag turbo kit. fuel management is hondata on stock injectors, but im going to get rc soon. anyways, this was my 1st oil change and i dont know but for some reaon white smoke came out like crazy!!! before i did the oil change, it didnt smoke, in fact it never had smoke coming from the exhaust at all.
could it be i used too much oil? i poured in only 3.5 quarts of valvoline full syn. oil. i know i should have used mobile 1.
also, i did a compression check and it 4 of them came out to be over 200, which i know is already good. i check the coolant, no change. i think i might do a leak down soon.
also, another thing it was really cold outside and i let the motor sit for a while, like 5 mins more or less. could this have contributed to the smoke. if so, can someone explain to me why it was doing the same thing this mouring and after i got home? weird, but i need you help.

its probably the condensation that built up in your motor as it cooled down. dont be startled to see a little bit of white smoke (condensation) coming out your tailpipe as soon as your start your car up in the morning. it should all burn off once your car is fully warmed.

For future reference (though not as a solution to the smoke), I would suggest using the dipstick to ensure that the proper amount of oil is in the engine. "Judging" by how much you've poured in is not a good idea.

Could be the synthetic showing him that he has some bad seals somewhere where as the conventional oil was thick enough to hide it?
