just did my front brake pads...couple questions.
whats up, guys.
see if you all can help me out. I just changed out my front brake pads on my 00 civic si.
i installed the pads themselves perfect. The pedal, when i first took it out for a test drive, feels kind of spongy or mushy. like there isn't as much pedal pressure as before. Is this normal for the brakes to feel like this right after installing new brakes. do i have to let them set in first or should i try bleeding the brakes?
good thing is there is no noise at least
any help or info about your experience and knowledge would be cool.
thanks
Also, what ways is it possible to get air in your brake system?

i would try bleeding them, you might be able to at least get some of the spongy feeling to go away

so did the mc run dry when u did your brakes? otherwise, shouldn't be air in there, unless u have a leak. but umm, you have to seat the pads first, pump the brakes a couple times, that should be good.

Yeah, I think you have to press the pedal a few times to get the pressure back. I just replaced mine, pressure is back and havent had any probs.
