Default just curious, anyone have an automotic b16?

I'm just curious b/c my cousin has a auto 5th gen dx and wants to drop a b16 in there. I was wondering where you ordered the engine/tranny from and what ECU you're using. thanks

He can easily convert the chasis to Manual......I don't believe that any of the B16's came with auto. However, you can take an LS auto and put it onto the B16.....but why?

Just tell him to convert it to stick. It's much more fun to drive.

yeah, not easy - but not impossible, I did it on my old hatch.
you'd need a clutch pedal assembly, master cylinder, slave cylinder, cut a hole under ur auto shifter for the stick, run 2 wires from the auto-shifter box to the backup sensor, disconnect the auto-ecu (blue box), they make a mount kit to use sticks in auto-chassis civics (assuming you're going b-series). Other than that, its just the regular parts you'd use for the b16 swap. Oh yeah, on the back of the cluster, disconnect the big plug (for the gears) and put on some $20 white faces @ pepboys (cover's up the auto part). PS. if u don't get the tranny mount, you'll have to weld, other than that, there's holes for everything.

Your in luck. I just happen to have one in my 1995 dx coupe. I don't have the details right now, but my car is almost finished with the swap. I got my engine from hondamotorsonline.com. Hope this helps.

i dont think that it would be too difficult if he really didnt want to change to manual.. get a b16 motor, ls tranny, and a ls ecu and you are set right?? ive never done it and would never want to but im sure it would work.. the power of a b16 only auto..
