Just bought my first Honda....:)
it's a 92' CX hatchback with D16Z6.....not a bad little car. The tranny is F'ed up, but i'll be pulling all that out shortly in favor of the H22.
OH yea, i only paid 2,000 for it and it's in great condition. Also he included the CX motor and some other parts. P/S pump and resevoir and some other crap,
later

the h22 is a huge motor. You'll need to change the motor mounts etc. Good swap for POWER, but not good for turning and suck, let's hope you drag race!

congrats on the new hatch...hmmmmm....i don't know if i'd go H22 on that hatch...like b16a2 said...the motor is not balanced for a hatch chassis. you'll need custom engine mounts to make the swap work...good luck on the new project though...

Congrats on the car find, and just do some searches about the H22A here - it's not what everyone says it is in many ways.

Now, compare that 'huge' H22A installation to the OEM Gen 7 CiViC/RSX:

That's LJ's show car in transition. It's turbo'ed with nitrous now.
Thanks, bros, for not disappointing!

back to the TOPIC!
hey congrats on your new-to-you Honda
and yeah the H22 is a serious motor, should be wicked fast, there area bunch of nutters trying that setup now, it seems like it can be pretty competitive even on a circuit course.

Hrm... I don't think so!

The engine bay from front to back measurements on the seventh generation Civic is much smaller than the fifth or sixth generation. The MacPherson Strut suspension they chose allowed a much more compact engine bay (not that I'm happy about that, I'm not, I much prefer the fifth and sixth generation suspension).
Measurements of the engines from front to back are a much better comparison than how they look in an engine bay.

What does LJ run in the 1/4 mile in that car?
Does he even race that car?
Wait! Does he even drive that car.
Sorry man, but thats the reason I don't really like car shows. His car was ugly 3 years ago and its just as ugly today the only difference is that its "dated" now.

Yeah, his car is pretty lame now...but back when that thing was in style, everyone jocked that thing. I always thought it was sick..but hey, tastes change. If he's unwilling to flow with the JDM boat.. good for him
What really bothers me about him though..the last few times I've seen him at a show, I see a big fat intercooler. I think, "Oh cool, he turbo'd his H22." But then I'm let down pretty quick when I see the DC header and crappy intake. Oh well, his money.
