Check for any vacuum leaks, replace the gas filter and wash the intake filter.

Maybe do a full tune up, instead of just the wires?

Cap/rotors/fuel filter/air filter/basic bolts on, etc.

Regardless, You have to rev the hell out of the b16 to get power.

the car has a brand new injen SRI. I fixed the leak it had from someone installing the intake wrong. i heard a lot on here about the dizzy cap.

what are the rotors? i guess i could search

the header makes vtec scream but you cant feel it pull any harder. maybe im just used to my poor man type R i had before could be.

sometimes it seems too kinda bog through the lower rpms.
Im going to put a test pipe, i think the cat could be clogged. Change the fuel filter.

My friends Si has three codes for his CEL. And still puts bad lengths on me. This cant be. And he's the one needs the driver mod.

_thanks for any help!

If your Cat was clogged it would not idle perfect like you stated.

what kinda header is it? I've had several different ones on mine and some really made performance suffer. Car ran fine but didn't pull hard with certain ones.

That's not true.

While a clogged cat (in what you're speaking of, VERY clogged cat) CAN throw ur idle - it usually won't.

the car came with a brand new ebay meagan header 4-1. I dont think it would cause such a power loss. Im getting stomped by LS civics and si's. Its almost as if im running only on 3 cylinders. But that would throw a code im sure. I guess ill get a full inspection of the car with a compression test n' all.

Might be your problem.... Most 4-1 headers have clearance problems... You might have dented the header and its not allowing enough flow.... Check it out..

I had this problem when I had an exhaust leak at the header/cat flange. The more throttle position, the more it seemed to bog.

If u could describe what the car is actually doing, we could probably be of more help. Is it making any strange noises when u are accelerating? Does it bog when u stomp on it? Does the car sputter at lower rpm's? Does the car have a lopey idle or is it steady?

Cap and rotor are simple as hell to replace and they are both on the dizzy. I'd say try the fuel filter and possibly ur FPR could be done for or even ur fuel pump. If the car isn't gettin enough fuel then u r going to experience power loss. Clogged injectors? There are so many different possibilities.

What is an FPR? The car idles perfect. When accelerating half throttle id say around 4,000 RPMS it sputters a little bit for a few seconds. Kinda of like its hesitating on and off. I would try and put some fuel injector cleaner in it but the only gas I pump has techron with i thought cleans the injectors somewhat.

Any other suggestions?

FPR = fuel pressure regulator.

Check your cam and spark timing. Those two cause LOTS of "weird" issues.
