Default Jus bought a 92 EX Coupe... need help w/ new rims!

I just bought a 92 EX coupe and it still had the factury 14" rims with the hubcaps on it (i'm pretty sure they're 14"). Was wondering if people here could post pics of rims on civics (92-95) so i can get an idea of what it looks like.

Suggestions are appreciated as well as recommendations. I'm going for more looks than speed... so i guess bigger is better?!

Please post the size (diameter & width) and tire size too... thx!

from one WI to another. please dont rice your car out. not suggesting that you're the everyday WI ricer but "bigger is better" is not the case. im just tired of seeing so many ricers in this state, even in miltown and madtown ive seen them. and yes, green bay has a ton of em with their bling bling euro's, high spoilers, loud fart exausts, chopped springs, unpainted body kits, and big rims. here let me put it this way:
1. there's no 92 coupe ex, they came in 93-95.
2. 16's would be the biggest ill go
3. 205/45/16 is a good tire size for 16's
4. if you go with with 15's, get 205/50/15's or 205/45/15's
5. get falkin azenis or khumo ecsta 712 supra tires

Since i jus bought a civic... y not go "bigger"... i'm jus curious to know y a lot of people don't do this? Jus for my knowledge.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by pennies_hatchie &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">bling bling euro's, high spoilers, loud fart exausts, chopped springs, unpainted body kits, and big rims.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I can't stand altezza lights... they light up like crap, i see them at night on cars and they don't light up at all. The OEM lights seem to light up better and brighter. I dislike the supra-spoiler-wannabe-spoilers, i like the GT-style wings like them indy racing cars. Yes, i can't stand the unpainted body kits like bumpers that are put on and still not painted, what gives? As far as exhaust, i was planning to look for one that can give performance minus the noise, i can't stand that noise, forgive me on this one. I don't believe in chopping springs, isn't that unsafe for u and the car? And lastly, the rim issue... again y do people prefer not to go big?

Thx for the info on this... i jus called the honda dealer and they checked the VIN for me, it's a 93 EX coupe after all... geez... a 2-day owner and i can't even tell the year of my car... i've been around accords too long...

Please post ur pics for me plz, would greatly appreciate it! Don't know which rims to get but my buddies keep saying TE37s are really nice?!

Ummm... ~$1k-$2k... with good tires of course... not sure really... but i'm the kinda person that wants bang for the buck! So if i'm getting $5k worth of rim and tire, then i'll pay $5k... kinda like that (jus an example)...

you can go 17's just a lot of people prefer not to for a lot of reasons. performance-wise most of them are too heavy (slow you down) and cause trouble (rubbing, problems with lowering your car, trimming your fender wall, become unbalanced etc). looks-wise, 17's look like rice and they look too big for civics.. imo i like 17's just without the huge *** body kit and all that rice too. i like em as far as appearance goes. low pros =

Volk's TE37's are nice, but itll cost you an arm and a leg (about 1000+ for used ones). if you have that kind of money, IMO buy Advan RG's here are some pix i got from searching (not mines), if you want more, just search.

well you get the idea. just search for more or go here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=450819&page=1

these looks somewhat similar to RG's but are heavier (only $90 each)

(even thought RG looks a bit nicer)

lots of different definitions of "ricer".. some guy did a post on such a thing the other day, try searching. but basic concept:

all appearance, no performance or "all show no go".

But what if u jus want to go for looks and not speed?! Is that so bad? Don't we all want a good looking car? Maybe i'm missing something.

ricers are usually term for those who do things to their car for "form over function", so jdm would be the opposite. but to each their own of how far they will stretch of what includes in the term.

let's say there is a 10 sec civic with big body kit and altezza lights. some would consider it ricer because of it's look, some wont. so it's really an open term.

I had "Si" wheels on mine. 15x6, with 205/50-15 Falken Azenis tires. On the car, they looked bigger than they actually were . . .

You can pick them up for $500+shipping per set brand new, or get them on eBay used with tires for $350-450.

there's lots of definitions of ricers...
this is my definition...
1. euros
2. chromed out (exterior)
3. 18+ inches for rims
4. stickered out (especially huge APC stickers)
5. huge wings
6. unpainted body kits (im not a big fan of body kits, but some are aight)
7. chopped exuast (some people just installs universal canisters with their stock catback)
8. slamed cars/chopped springs
9. z3 fenders/mirrors
10. painted interior (dash, etc)

there's probably more, but its not coming to mind...
anyways, there's a whole **** load of em in g.b., wausau, madison, milwaukee, appelton, and la crosse. try not to become one, h-t will probably own you
