Default junk yard

i was wondering if i go to a junkyard to try to find a eg or ek hatch how much do they usally charge for cars at junkyards? i only need the shell so dont realy care abouyt the enigne but i just wanted to get an idea of how much cheaper it wil be then buyen it from a owner

The cars/shells at junkyards are useless. Unless you wanna part it out. But I am not sure if they allow you to buy the whole thing.

yea pretty much all of the yards ive been to wont let you buy the whole car cause they will make more parting it out. like he ^^ said they are pretty useless as most have severe front or rear damage.

most junkyards in my area will not sell a shell or any of the cars in the lot. they are non rebuildable

Most wreckers aren't allowed to sell the shells, even if they wanted too. For a while people were stealing parts off of cars and then waiting for the shell to turn up at the wrecker. They would then legally buy the shell with the registration and replace all the parts and turn around and sell them.
