JUN chipped p28 problems!
I have a theory I need to run by someone...I have b18c1(OBD1) in my 94 hatch with JUN chipped P28, I have 2 symptoms A) Low idle (400-550rpm) B) bad gas mileage, could these be because of that JUN chip running WAYYY to rich, and messing up my idle and fuel economy ?
Also, I have no check engine lights, except after I take it up too 7500-7900rpm in 3rd/4th the CEL comes on, I am going to pull the code this afternoon, I just did this swap and trying to work the kinks out......
P.S. I have a Stage 2 Hondata in my room, just need to get it socketed.....I am running Skunk2 stage 2 cams, and cam gears also with portflow valve train.

It definitely can affect both. But run the code, that may reveal something unexpected.

ran the code..... COde 21 and 22, what do you know? VTEC Solenoid and Oil Pressure!!!! checking wiring right now, but I talked to my friend who gave me the ecu, he said to expect horrible gas mileage without a tune....

I don't have any experience with the JUN program, but around here, everyone and their mother is running the so called "Mugen" program. It's eats gas like crazy, and idles low, even with tuning. I think your Hondata is eager for an install

i'm running a skunk2 ecu and i hook my car up to a gas analyzer once a month to see how everything's running. at idle my car runs @ 11.7:1 a/f ratio, but it leans out to around 13.9:1 @WOT. it's a common thing to run rich at idle w/ a program.
as for the codes, check your solenoid screen and make sure it isn't dirty. and also make sure you have enough oil.

Re: JUN chipped p28 problems! (chainsaw)
get this....after an hours of messing with wires...we found:
the ecu pin wasn't properly seated for the vtec oil pressure spot. VTEC still won't work!
we took apart the vtec solenoid and found nothing to be wrong, even switched it with my friends gsr solenoid. So after further inspection, we looked at the head without the solenoid and noticed the rocker rod for vtec was pushed in on his....but on mine it was sticking out like 1mm. So, my friend matt thought maybe something was jammed in there preventing it from sliding down.....turns out, a pin that slide through a shaft in the head though the rocker rod wasn't in place, somehow it got pushed up and out......so we put it back in and now vtec hits fine.
as of now, everything is fine, except I am in drastic need of tuning, it pulls, then drags, then pulls, then drags in vtec.......Hondata here we come......

Yes, all you need to do is add the 4 pin header on CN2 (leave #5 open)

Re: JUN chipped p28 problems! (Ag-Eng)
only reason I asked was because it has a resistor soddered on from the jun chip...its just one though.....and wasn't sure if that would screw anything up
