Default jumping rpm

why would make the rpm need jump up and down weird.

***not the idle, just jumps around drastically***

Many, Many, Many things.

What kind of car is it? Any Modifications? When does it do this? Whats the difference in the jumping? 200 Rpms? 1k? More information would be helpful.

grounds. expecialy the ground on the thermostat housing, made mine jump around like crazy

generic header, stock airbox

jumping all over the cluster. when im driving, would kill the car.

how rebuilt is it? is it rebuilt from a reliable person? bring it back to them and have them check it out...

i just noticed that with mine too..there are times when i'm idle that the RPMs would start jumping around almost to 3k, definitely let me know when you find out..

rebuilt by me.

i think it was a bad ground on the thermostat housing. because after i tighten that one down and a few others, its running better
