Default JHPusa.com order

I got the Omni power camber kit from JHP on Wednesday for my 2000 ex coupe and tried to install them today. After spending an hour removing the wheel and upper control arm, I discovered a problem: the bushings were too wide, 4mm wider than the stock ones. The stocks fit snugly and measure 224mm wide, and the omnis are 228mm. I emailed JHP about this problem and hope to get a response by Monday. I just hope they handle this situation professionally and admit fault without charging me a rediculous 20% restocking fee. This sucks, because I didn't want to drive a mile more with my 2.5" dropped negative camber. Anyone ever had this problem with their camber kits?

I wish I had a grinder. I have a feeling I'll have to buy a grinder and grind them myself or face the probability of a rediculous 20% restocking + $15 shipping fee. We'll see.

"We cannot accept them

- That's weird, because they came wrapped in bubble wrap bags inside of a 16"x11"x4" UPS box.......is there some particular way I can check the contents without opening the box and unwrapping the bubble bags?

"I have the same camber kit

- I don't know how you can fit something thats a solid 228mm wide into a cramped 224mm +/- .5mm opening....

Anyways, I just emailed JHP and Omni, hoping for a response from both by Wednesday. Thanks for reading.

I bought a similar camber kit from a local store, one side fit perfect, and the other side was off by at least 2-3 mm. It was a tight squeeze, but i got it in there with a rubber mallet. Its been on for almost a year now, no problems.

I don't know but i'm not feeling the purple.

DONT GRIND THEM. you just have to press the bushings in more on both sides. just take a bench vise and some sockets.

FYI: i have a 97 CX and my omni front and rear camber kits fit perfect( redzone). no modifications required. mine are red tho, not purple

Put a little muscle into it. I have the same kit on my car and i remember it was much tighter than stock. Didnt break out the tape measure so i cant say if you have the wrong part, but i doubt it.

i have had good experiences and bad ex with them. i have a couple of good orders from them and then one day i ordered a "jdm" 15/16 master cylinder from them and ended up getting 13/16 master cylinder which is the same that i already have on my car. They tried telling me on the second conversation that they had told me they were out of the 15/16 and that i could just use it and i was like but that is not what i ordered They wouldn't take it back and i just told them look it was bought on my debit card. You can either take it back and give me money back or i keep the part and drive down to the back and cancel the transaction at the bank. Electronic transaction are great

I wish I could just press them in to fit, but the bushings are metal rods. Take a look at the new pics I took today http://krazeemunk.freeservers.com/photo.html

As for they purple color....that's all JHP had, it doesn't matter because nobody will be able to see them.

Still awaiting response from both.

We'll see if Omni comes through with a set that fits. This sucks because it originally cost me $139.00 + $12.35 s/h + $11.47 tax for a total of $162.82...now I have to pay another ~$10.00 to ship it to Riverside county. Damn, I should have drove to Modacar and picked it up myself for $173 instead of buying from JHP....now I got to wait.

All that came in the box was the front camber kit, it seems like everyone sells this Omni Power Camber kit as a front and rear set. Oh well, I didn't need the rear kit anyways. I just used some extended Grade 8 bolts and adjusted my camber with zinc plated washers from Home Depot, all for about $5. Just got to wait for Omni to get back to me with their address, I wonder why it's not on their website?

Omni replied:

"I don't have any more yellow ones, but do have red and black ones. You can just send them back - I'll remember whose they are, just make sure we have a return address.

Our address is:

Omni-Power USA
1050 Whispering Pines Lane, Ste. H
Grass Valley, CA 95945"

Hopefully I can get the new ones by next Friday so I can install them Saturday. Grass Valley....I thought I was shipping to area code 951(Riverside, CA).

Damn, Omni just got my package Thursday. Hoping to get the exhange by this coming Friday, another week of commuting with negative camber tire wear......
Anyways, my car smelled like burnt plastic for the last week due to this.....

Plastic bag? Road kill? Not sure but it STINKS. I'll try to scrape that stuff off tomorrow.
