Default Is the jdmhondaparts.com cf duckbill spoiler a good one?

i am thinking of ordering one, but i have heard some rumors about off-brands not fitting very well and coming apart. does anyone have any info on this one, either from personal experience, or an educated guess?

I've never seen their wings in person, but do a search, there was a thread about carbon fiber products before, and a lot of people were saying that the quality and fit was horrible. good luck

FYI.........JDMhondaparts doesn't ship carbon fiber.

I hear the Carbon Worx duckbill from Inline Four fits and looks
pretty good.

i just want a decent fitting, quality spoiler. i dont give a **** about brand names. spending 7 million dollars on a 2 pound piece of carbon fiber because it says "spoon" or "benen" is ridiculous. plus, i would like to get mine sometime this century, just take a look at the benen group buy status and try to find a spoon one.

FYI = jdmhondaparts.com does say that they ship the cf spoilers, just not the hoods.

Why would a cop pull you over for not having a third brake light? They're not required, no matter what originally came on the car.

They are required in CA.

You can always buy an aftermarket 3rd brake light and wire it up like the OEM light. Stick it on your rear window. Or, you can just take out the OEM light from the spoiler and move it down by the hatch lid.

What are you talking about? My rx7 doesn't have a third brake light, neither did my 240sx or even my truck since it's covered by a shell. I've never been pulled over not once, at least not for not having a thrid brake light, I was pulled over for having too many moving boxes in the back of my rx7...long story. You had better check your laws on that one because pretty much any car made before 1970 didn't have a third light, but by law they are required to have reverse lights and they can't be blue, never heard of anything about a third brake light, and I've been modifying pre 70's cars since i was about 10, and have been messing with imports since I was 15 I've never seen anything that says a thir brake light is required.

Do you have proof that this is a law? Or is this folklore like RHD cars aren't allowed in the US

3rd brake light has been a legal requirement on vehicles that were produced from '86+. No need to retrofit on ealier models. I've been pulled over a few times in MI and never questioned about not having one(duckbill).

News to me, my rx7 was an 87, the 240 was a 90 and my truck is a 2002, the truck does have a third light, but I have a shell which covers it. All the above cars are CA cars. I guess I'm just lucky.
