JDM steering wheel, how to hook up cruise control?
Hello all,
I was wondering now that I have a JDM steering wheel, how do I hook up my cruise control? I'm mostly wondering if its possible to have it work in a way that if I push my main cruise control button, it will engage the cruise control. Im not worried about mounting the old buttons for adjusting speed up and down, or resuming my previous speed.
All I'm concerned about is when I push my main cruise button, the cruise control is engaged and set, and obviously disengaged when the brake or clutch is engaged.
Im fairly knowledgable when it comes to wiring, and being that I have all the old wiring inside the wheel presently im interested in how I would go about performing this.
Btw the car is a 2000 civic Sir or Si for our friends to the south.
Thanks in advance.

Not possible. Main cruise switch is a 2-position switch, while st/wheel cruise buttons are momentary. If you supplemented a momentary sw. into the dash in place of the main cruise button then it *might* work. Can't think of an OEM one that would work though. Maybe headlight washer ... but even then, I doubt it.
You are better off mounting something custom either on the dash or on the steering column covers (better - most accessible while driving). I recall seeing a DIY on this over at d-series.org.
