JDM Parts
Just curious as to what JDM Parts (Official Honda OE parts from Japan) people are looking for. I am having a sit down, with a Honda rep to inquire about some parts and wanted to see what everyone was looking for.
Thanks,
Mike

well I'm personally looking for some cheap CTR floor mats haha
headlights, fog lights, guage clusters, trim pieces in and out. There's a lot of stuff.

be prepared to catch a lot of heat for this. but seriously if your becoming a distributor, you may as well follow the lineup that hmotorsonline uses. not too complicated and good priced

i'd say research alot more bro? its a good start asking the consumer what they want, but you need to check out as many jdm import shops as possible and go from there...best way to sell import parts, well to me...great customer service and prices which beat out the competitor...

Re: JDM Parts (FalkenSiR)
Not a problem at all, all I would need is a deposit in the amount of the whole car, plus shipping fees, tax and licensing fees, and then we can take it from there.

you gotta haggle the price. just cuz a piece has a price on the web doesnt mean thats the theyll sell to you if you want it.
i got my fogs, sidemarkers, and dc2 brake setup for $150.00 but then again i was talking to them in person
and as far what people look for... look up passwordjdm.com inlinefour.com and see what they offer. follow in their footsteps cuz i'm pretty sure they followed in someone elses.

I would have to say the only part that i have not been able to locate is the dashboard and center console from a CTR (its the only one that came in black for a 96-00 civic) The ones from Japan are RHD but there is some other country were they are LHD if i could find one i would drop a grand or more on it...I hate the gray...good luck with finding a LHD one but if you do let me know

Password has great products at great prices. Sometimes people have lower prices because they want to get rid of old stock. Sometimes thats not the case. But like the guy said, you should talk to them and see what they can work out for you. Heck, even I buy parts from them. They're good guys!

i never said they have better prices, or that they have quality stuff.
look just because it seems like they sell alot doesnt actually mean their profit margin is huge. they have alot of over head. theyre in LA county and have alot of property compared to their neighbors. so they need to sell whatever they can to keep going, even if it means lowering the price a little. i dont doubt the bumper had webs in it cuz they keep some stuff outside. have you ever bought parts for an older car? theyre not always in the best condition to begin with.

no i understand they are good guys, just saying i think thier prices are higher than most companys. but i'm not local, i'd love to talk them down on some stuff. but no i don't expect a quality bumper . just what i got from them looked like it had been on the boat and in the back of a warehouse for a long long time

For the most part you can call any company and they will price match if there is smeone else that has it cheaper...another thing i look for is weather or not its in stock. Im my opinion a good shop will have what you need in stock

inlinefour always has a huge stock for the parts i'm looking for. but their showroom is a 10 by 15 room.

exactly how and where they place the slightly bigger items.

Update: I just got back from the meeting. Basically, what I am asking is alot, and I have to come up some more information for them to look further into the possiblities of me ordering parts through the Honda of Japan. Their main concern was liability. But trust me, I'm gonna work hard to get this worked out.

Re: (vtec4lyfe)
anything for a del sol! especially the front bumpers....that seems to be the main thing everyone in the sol thread wants.
For me in particular(all for a del sol):
-Complete JDM visor setup(why the american sols got stuck with the ones that only fold down still seems like a dumb thing to me)
-maplights with the black button (the ones in the door by the interior lock/handle area)
-92-95 JDM front bumper
-antenna block off plate(not JDM but still)
