Default JDM P30 ecu specs...vtec @ ? rev limit ?

I have a sir 2 swap...using a jdm p30 ecu

I have seen several threads from different sites with people asking the same question i am about to ask and get answers from all over the place. So im gonna try it again cause i dont even know...

From first hand expierience if you are using a virgin jdm p30 ecu...where is your vtec crossover, what rpm? what rpm is your rev limit? and @ what mph does your speed limiter hit.

Sorry man but i wasn't looking for some wikipedia search...i have been there done that. If you look at 6 sites and specs they have for p30 ecu they are damn near never the same, its not very trustworthy. It would be different if you looked at 6 sites and 4 of them said the same thing. I want first hand experience brother. Some sites say vtec @ 5200...5500...5700...5875...so which is it? And where in the info you sent me does it say the rev limit??? It says redline but not LIMITER.... Thanks anyways

CROME says p30 rev limit is 8296 rpm, v-tec engagement at 5872 rpm, speed limiter is at 115 mph(180 kmh). thats a CROME base map.

so does ANYONE have a jdm p30 in their car??? I know my tach is off but i dont know by how much. W/ how high i've reved the motor, it doesn't hit a limiter...i know its common for tachs to be inaccurate, but ive spun my motor to 8600rpm according to my tach and hit no limiter. Vtec does crossover @ 5900 rpm which is so close to what foo fighters said so i dunno. I have also hit the speed limiter @ 120 mph but still considering mph off due to tire size, i would guess it was at 115mph. So I see 2 of the 3 things i have with this ecu, vtec and speed limiter but i am stumped about the rev limit and i know its not chipped. I have read on a few sites though that the p30 has no rev limit, but others that say it does. wtf! Could it be one that has no rev limit?

If it legitmately doesn't have a rev limit it's chipped. If I were you i'd plug a good aftermarket tack into the tach test wire in the engine bay and see how far the factory tach is off.

this is how it's worked since i bought it at Hmotors.

vtec- 5800
rev limit- 8200
mph limit- 125 is the highest my guage goes and it seemed to cut off there.

I believe on mine its seems to be 5700-5800, redline is 8200, rev limit is like 8400-8450, tachs not super accurate so its hard to tell

I know this is old thread but I've ran a stock p30 ecu to my SIR II swap in my eg for over ten years now and my vtec engages at about 5800, 5900 rpm and my redline is 9000. My speed limiter is 127mph(not kmh). I've got my cluster checked perfect and I've even opened it to see if maybe it was modded but nope it has never been touched. I've been taking my car down to 9k for several years now(stock b16a sir II swap) and never have I in countered any problems with it. I love this ecu!

I have a virgin jdm p30, it has vtec engagement at 5800, Revlimit at between 8800-9000, and speed governor at 120 all information verified by 3 different cars

5 year old thread

Bumping an old, dead thread? Check. Using the wrong ECU for the engine? Check. Clear lack of understanding of how certain things work? Check. Please, before posting again, read the rules sticky. It's a sticky thread for a reason.
