USDM OBD1 P30 looks for EVAP purge solenoid, so if not present it will throw a CEL

I didn't notice any notable effects when switching between the two ecu's, since my car was setup to USDM spec, I just left the EVAP purge solenoid attached when I switched to the JDM P30

The jdm ecu has a speed gov @ about 180kph. It also is designed to run a B16 with P30 pistons that have a compression ratio of 10.4:1, all usdm B16's have PR3 pistons....giving a 10.2:1 compression

Biggest differences are the speed limiter at 180km/h like Deetz said and slightly different fuel and timing maps for different altitudes and federal emissions regulations.
