Def. not an amateur job...requires obviously removal of the transmission, as well as removal of the gearing. I don't know your mechanical skill level, but I think it's safe to say this is no "bolt-on" modification. goodluck!

Can you take your tranny out? If you can good.
Now take your case off.
Look there is a whole bunch of gears and stuff that i have to take out to put this thing in.
Ok now take the stock Diff out and put it in. reassemble tranny and now check to see what if any shim you need and make sure you sealed it properly. Now take it back apart to shim it. The put tranny back into car.
You no have 2 wheel drive.
In all serouisness my dad owns a pretty large shop and this was not a easy job. Takes alotta of know how, common sense, and the right tools. It will be alot easier to install if it has a speedo drive gear already(my quaife did not) and the diff bearing. It should be possiable even for just a modestly equiped garage. Just take your time and follow the honda manual.

You'd better check first to make sure that you can use a B18C LSD in a B16A/B18B tranny case . . .

Re: JDM ITR LSD (Targa250R)
Im pretty sure the b18c type-r tranny will fit into a b16 si tranny. A b16 tranny is basically a type-r tranny without the LSD.....correct me if i'm wrong. Hope that helps!
