JDM ITR or CTR steering wheel?
a few peepz have asked how to make out the difference of the above steering wheel.
both steering wheel(that has the srs airbag) do look the same externally, however to easiest way to tell the differences is to turn the steering wheel over. there you will see the hub splint, if it is vertical it is a CTR and if it is horizontal its is an ITR.
unfortunately there is no ITR srs steering wheel on auction at the moment, these 2 below r what i found at the moment.
see the second pix of this auction, note the hub splint its vertical - thus its a CTR + SRS airbag

below is the link of another ebay auction - this is the 96 JDM ITR steering wheel - it does not have an srs airbag - again look at the 3rd pix to and it show the hub splint in horizontal.

if you are trying to buy either one , it pays to ask the seller for pix or even clarify the direction of the hub splint. i have seen on ebay that there r heaps of seller who does not even know what they r selling and when questioned appeared suprised that there is a difference. some of their common reply is that " there r the same" because they look the same, but the they won't have a clue that the hub splint is actually different.
so much so for this info. and if you want to know which steering wheel fit on which car ....far as i know, the CTR SW will fit the ek series. if you have the eg civic, it will couple with the ITR steering wheel.
as for the question if you need to weld on for fit of the s2k steering onto a civic, i'm not sure. maybe when i'm have time i will take it out of my s2k and try it on my civic. will keep you guys in the loop on this.

Re: JDM ITR or CTR steering wheel? (ek4ek9)
My friend has a non srs ITR steering wheel on his 96-00 civic. When he bought it, the hub was modified to fit the EJ6 already. Do you know how would you go about doing the modification? I asked him but he doesn't know because he bought it like that. Good info though.
