JDM H22 have some questions. IACV? EGR? CEL's? shifter? reverse lights?

JDM H22 have some questions. IACV? EGR? CEL's? shifter? reverse lights?
Ok, im looking at this jdm h22 swapped civic coupe. The car is a 97 civic, it was converted from a automatic to manual. now my questions are
1. He said he thinks the idle surging is the iacv is that common? still ok to buy?
2. he has a CEL from his car not having a cat, and also he said he has no egr valve?
3. Since the car has a h22 tranny and its all prelude shiter assembly do they make like skunk2 dual bends for the prelude that would work in the civic?
4. Since the car was an automatic, he said he does not have reverse lights, how hard is it to wire them to work?

1. The idle could be the iacv but never really see those going bad. could be map, tps sensor or wrong vaccum system.
2. well couple things for the cel. Is it obd1 or 2? there shouldn't be a cel for no cat if a o2 sensor is wired in. Jdm motors don't have EGR systems so u will get a cel if the car has a ecu that is looking for a EGR system
3. No skunk2 short shifters are different. They are for shift rods not cables like preludes. There is a couple short shifters for cable shifting though
4. don't know about reverse lights but shouldn't be too hard there is only 2 wires that come from the tranny to the engine harness which probably runs to the fuse box.
