Default jdm gsr motor

what all sensors need wired in to make usdm ecu work? i have a knock sensor blowing a cel is it not wired or is it just detonated? and for some reason the crank sensor that should throw a cel has not. im totally lost please help lol

Not sure about your wiring issue, but if i were you, i'd source out a jdm P72 ecu. The jdm GSR uses higher compression pistons bringing compression up to 10.6:1.....exactly the same as a usdm Type R.
The sensors on both motors should be eactly the same.

OBD1 or OBD2 Engine? and whats it in?

I would consider a chipped ECU. Knock and other sensors can be eliminated.

Or just wire up the sensors, god knows that won't take longer than 30 minutes. It's just so easy when you have everything at your disposal.

first of all??????? how do u chip a obd2 ecu i didnt know thats possible i know obd1 you can chip..i have a 96 coupe and 01 jdm gsr. goin from obd2b to obd2a.. i dont think there is a chip for that to eliminate sensors. does any one have the wire diagrams for the knock sensor i have the one for the crank sensor.

Its possible to chip an OBD2 ECU, its just very uncommon, and from what I understand expensive, and its extremely hard to find someone able to do it. Proof that it can and has been done ---> http://www.superhonda.com/forum/f99/...d2-ecu-337498/

Below are the pinouts you will need, as well as the CKF fix. Using a manual '96 - '98 EX harness will take care of the vast majority of the wiring btw. Using a DX harness you will need preform the IACV fix (shown below, and wire in the knock sensor)

ok. i have an ex civic harness and not a dx harness so i dont understand why the knock sensor needs wired. im new to the whole wiring thing its alot to take in. thank you for the cky diagram i appreciate it
