alright, no one answered my questions in my post in the hybrid forum, so ill try here.
so im thinkin of just getting a jdm gsr 96-98 motor from HMO, what all extra do i need in order to make it work. like ecu and stuff? other than that it should fit the same as a 00 motor right?

if you buy the complete swap from hmotors, all you should need is a bracket or two and thats it. it will come with motor, tranny, ecu, axels etc. you can get the brackets out of a 99-00 si.

You can get a conversion harness for it. OBD2b to OBD2a. There's a few places that sell them.

I have a JDM GSR OBD2 in my civic and I love it. I'm running the stock dual stage runners and I wired it up to the stock JDM GSR ECU. I recommend you leave the intake manifold stock if you want LOW to MID range power as far as wiring goes please do not chip or change the ECU while you have the stock GSR intake manifold because you will have a vtec lag .....I have a 98 ex wiring harness with a 3 clip setup for the JDM ECU I think USDM Box only has two 2 grey clips and a blue clip

For the basic info, do a search and you'll find everything you need, even step by step guides.
Also, I noticed your avatar. You must've jacked it, because my buddy has had it forever

Your going to have a minor amount of wiring to do under the hood. Switching plugs, adding the wires for the 2stage intake, etc. I don't have a recommendation for any brand of harness, never used one.
